English (for Integration) School

As English is 1 of the 11 official languages of South Africa, and the main language in business, communicating in English is a fundamental step towards integration. This skill opens pathways to understanding your local community, finding employment and further education. We offer all 7 levels of classes via WhatsApp and the Literacy and Beginner levels as in-person classes, at the centre. Job Readiness

Job Readiness training builds confidence and self-esteem when applying for work. The courses focus on clients’ skills and experience, as well as their ability to articulate their skills and experience in the business sector. All clients registered with Integration Pathways qualify to attend the trainings. Courses are:

Exploring opportunities (for income-generating activities) - This workshop explores how you can identify and seize opportunities. Attending this workshop is a mandatory requirement to qualify to access other services. Duration: 1 Day; Cost: FREE
Professional Growth – This course is designed to enhance your personal and professional skills, including communication, problem-solving, and self-leadership. Full commitment is required! Duration: 8 weeks; Cost: FREE
Interview Skills Discussion – Designed to develop interview skills by practising common interview questions and discussions relating to interview preparation. Duration: 1 Day; Cost: FREE

Digital Literacy

Digital literacy helps people on the move and South Africans gain the digital skills necessary to engage in a digital economy and improve their livelihoods.

Smartphone Digital Literacy – This training focuses on how to use a cell phone effectively to successfully search and apply for jobs, as well as the safe, wise, and secure use of digital technology. Duration: 1 day; Cost: FreeFoundational Computer Literacy (Basic) – By teaching basic computer literacy skills such as turning on a computer, using a mouse as well as intermediate skill like writing an email, making a CV, or searching for specific information on the internet, learners are well-equipped to develop strong computer skills. Duration: 6 days; Cost: R150
MS Word Essentials (intermediate) – This is an intermediate-level computer course that solely focuses on MS Word for document editing and design. Duration: 6 days; Cost: R150
Google Workspace Fundamentals (Advanced) – This course is designed to advance digital literacy skills that are necessary for higher level jobs. Duration: 4 weeks; Cost: R150

Business Development

Business Development training focusses on how small and micro business owners can identify markets and products that can increase their income and make the business sustainable.

Developing a Business Idea (for clients thinking of starting a business)
Small Business Development Course (for established business owners). The outcome of the training is the compilation of a relevant and professional business plan.
