Additional English Activities
World of Words (WOW) Café: This event is held once per term, where all learners are invited to participate. WOW Café is designed to create an enjoyable atmosphere that promotes learning through various games and activities centred around the English language. It aims to foster a fun and engaging environment for all participants.
Reading is Fundaments: Reading is a crucial component of English development. To support this, learners in the Beginner class participate in a Book Club. This Book Club engages in interactive sessions that emphasize the importance of reading, held in collaboration with Friends of the Central Library at the Central Library of Cape Town. Additionally, learners in the WhatsApp classes benefit from extra reading sessions by attending Reading Club that occur every second week throughout the term, further enhancing their reading skills and comprehension.
