Employment Access offers people on the move financial sponsorship in the following areas:

Vocational Skills Sponsorship

Employment Access works with reputable external training providers to provide practical and relevant entry-level and advanced training in, inter alia, nanny/au pair, call centre, barista, office administration, etc. Clients who meet the following basic criteria may be sponsored in entry-level vocational skills courses:

  • Must have attended the Exploring Opportunities workshop where more information is given.
  • Must be registered with Employment Access.

Evaluation of Foreign Qualifications

Qualifying foreign professionals who have a secondary school leaving certificate, three-year, or higher degree (Honours, Masters and Doctorate), who require their qualification to be verified and evaluation by SAQA or USAf may be provided with sponsorship towards the financial cost of the application process. Clients are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Must be registered (have a CV) with Employment Access.
  • Must have attended the Exploring Opportunities workshop.
  • Have a strong motivation to either improve job prospects or to study further.

Business Development Grant

Employment Access provides micro-finance grants, usually in the form of equipment, to business owners who have a clear vision for their business to increase the sustainability of the business. Qualifying business owners must meet the following criteria:

  • Be registered with Employment Access.
  • Attended the Exploring Opportunities workshop.
  • Completed the Small Business Development Course.
  • Submitted a comprehensive Business Plan and Application Form.
