Foreign Children in Care Comparative Research Report South Africa 2019

This research, compiled by the Scalabrini Centre of Cape Town, provides an overview of the situation facing unaccompanied and separated foreign children living in children’s homes in South Africa. Collecting data from over 200 cases of foreign children living in care in Limpopo, Gauteng and Western Cape, the report considers the realties of these children: their demographics, their access to documentation and other rights, and their futures.
