Finding Employment with our Help Desk

The Employment Help Desk assists clients with finding employment by offering support in the job application process. Clients are assisted with writing CVs, opening e-mail accounts, writing cover letters (application letters), and responding to employment opportunities by phone, or e-mail. A Computer Lab is available for employment research and self-help applications.

Clients are also invited to join the WhatsApp Employment Support Group. This group is very important for staying updated on job opportunities, our services and training programmes. Joining the WhatsApp group is an opportunity to boost your employability and job search success.

This service is available to people on the move with valid documentation to reside in South Africa as well as South Africans. The Help Desk is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm. Foreign Professionals Desk

This service offers assistance to foreign professionals who have a secondary school leaving certificate, three-year, or higher degree (Honours, Masters and Doctorate). Administrative assistance and advice on the translation of qualifications, the South African Qualifications Authority processes, and Universities South Africa – Matriculation Board Exemption applications are provided. The following areas are covered:

  • Those wanting to have their qualifications verified and evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) or Universities of South Africa (USAf).
  • Support in registering with the relevant professional body such as SACE, SANC, and ECSA.
  • Artisans wanting to complete their Trade Tests are assisted.
  • Foreign Matriculants who wish to enter tertiary education in South Africa, are also given non-financial assistance to ensure that the SAQA application process is completed properly.
  • Information on accessing various local and international bursaries for tertiary education.
