Scalabrini Centre offers a 10 week programme teaching basic computer concepts and skills so that people can use computer technology in everyday life to develop new social and economic opportunities for themselves, their families and their communities.
Since 2005 SCCT has successfully run 18 ten week Computer Literacy courses. The courses are specifically marketed to disadvantaged communities and include a 2 day Life Skills workshop. The course fees are well below market rates and special payment plans are put in place to assist the unemployed.
Classes run for 2.5 hours either on a Monday and a Wednesday or on a Tuesday and a Thursday over 10 weeks. 5 hour long Saturday classes are also available.
With the programme you will receive a copy of your CV, a computer manual, access to the computer lab for free practicing sessions and a 2 day Life Skills workshop which teaches basic life skills necessary for successful entry into the working world.
